About the Founder

The founder of the company is Curtis B. Miller. He earned a BSEE degree from the University of Florida in December 1982 at the age of 22. Major areas of study were control theory, computer design, and signal processing. In January 1983, he began working at Harris Corporation in the Aerospace Systems Division (Melbourne, FL) on various digital control systems for military antennae communications and controls systems, and had acquired a DOD Confidential security clearance. As a result of working part-time as a printing pressman during his first two-years of college, and acquiring a fondness for printing industry, he transferred to Harris Graphics Corporation in 1985 (Melbourne, FL), where he was responsible for the development of lithographic printing press controls and instrumentation systems. Shortly after joining the Advanced Imaging Products group in 1987, he relocated with the company to Dayton, Ohio and spent the next 5 years on the development of an electronic printing press where he was responsible for the design and development of automated press control systems and digital imaging systems. In 1992, Curtis transferred to the Newspaper Engineering Group within AM Graphics (formerly Harris Graphics) where he was responsible for the development of newspaper inserting machines, supervisory control systems, and related newspaper post-press equipment. Continuing to pursue his career in the printing industry, Curtis joined Vikon Imaging, Inc. as Vice President of Engineering in 1996, where he was responsible for the design and development of an electronic printing system targeted for the high speed commercial printing industry. When engineering and technical personnel were unable to resolve machine problems for customers, in the US and internationally, Curtis was assigned to resolve the problems as has repeatedly implemented a successful solution. As a result of this intensive engineering career, Curtis has developed an exceptional ability in the areas of product design and technical problem solving.

Over the years, with the goal of becoming a consultant, Curtis has developed an extensive library of technical information, a network of associates, and an entrepreneurial business acumen. Curtis is now developing an engineering consulting practice which focuses on solving engineering problems in the general areas of electronics, signal processing, image processing, electrical machine controls, and product design.
